About Kadina
Kadina is the largest town on the Yorke Peninsula, with a population of about 4,000, and is the hometown of former SA premier John Olsen. There is a heritage walk you can take that will lead you through various historic sites, and there are the Kadina Heritage Museum and the Wallaroo Mine to be visited. At the mine you can still go right into the shafts. The Banking and Currency Museum is worth a visit, and here you can buy and sell coins. Finally, no trip to Kadina is complete without calling in to the Farm Shed Museum where the market is held, and where you will find the Kadina Miniature Train "made by men with a passion for trains".
