Wool Bay is an attractive small seaside township between Stansbury and Coobowie. The jetty, built in 1882, was wide enough to roll a bale of wool down it, and so locals called it 'Wool Bay Jetty'. Wool, grain and lime were exported from Wool Bay, which was for a time a major port. The old lime kiln can still be found on the cliffs above the town. Wool Bay beach is one of the safest for children, the jetty offers excellent fishing (other jetties are also nearby) and the climate is great all year round. The perfect place to relax.

Wool Bay Golf Club has a non-irrigated nine-hole course with scrapes. It is 5,635 metres and has a Par 70 with an Australian Course Rating 66. Men and women's competitions are held on Tuesday and Saturday each week in the afternoon.
